Journey to the Stage: Week 7

Journey To The Stage: Week 7

Seated Goodmornings:

This week I Started my phase 4 of training.  Getting amazing gains and results so far!  One main thing is i am learning soooo much!!  Bryan (my coach) will eventually get me into olympic lifting.  So learning the right techniques for snatch grip deadlifts etc.  I am a stickler for form and a perfectionist with my workouts!  I love challenging myself on a regular and this is something that is a bit new to me and love it!!

But the main thing is the changes to my body!  Can’t wait to get on stage!

My last phase was 4 times per week, phase 4 is down to 3.  My first supersets on each day are very heavy so rest is definitely needed.  But in between i do HIIT, sprints and core.  So taking one day off.

My diet so far has been pretty simple:

Breakfast: 4.5 oz of protein and some fruit + supplements

snack: veggies and 1/3 cup almonds, cashews, walnuts or pumpkin seeds

lunch: 4.5 oz of protein, usually chicken breast, veggies and some fruit + supplements

snack: 1/2 an avocado and either tomato, fresh peas or broccoli slaw

Dinner: 4.5 oz of fish (always have fish for dinner every day) trout, salmon, tilapia, shrimp, tuna, lots of veggies or large salad. add some olive oil + supplements

Post workout:  1 scoop vegan protein powder, 1 cup juice (100% pure no sugar added not from concentrate)

Very easy to stick to.  I drink about 4 litres of water a day.  Coffee is my vice and have a couple cups a day with stevia.  Cut out anything with sweeteners.  I do add a bit of cream (yes cream!) But cutting it out as of the 6th of August.  Black coffee and green tea only!

Cheat meal!!

I was havimg a cheat meal every Saturday night and sometimes a bit of an off track snack once during the week.  Last night had my cheat and it was tons of bread and pasta.  I havent’ been eating wheat or gluten, except for a sweet treat with cheat meal. Was sticking to cheat meals that had rice or potato.  I have felt like crap all day!  Cutting out the gluten wheat, makes me feel horrible and bloated.

Looks basic but tasted amazing!  Lol!  it was my Dad’s favorite restaurant. My mom wanted to celebrate there.  But as good as it tasted, I am paying for it today!  I am going to take in about 5litres of water today!  That will help big time!

Now that I decided to do two show, I have to keep things on track.  I am going to do UFE on October 27th then a week later do IDFA on November 3rd.  Will look better on the 2nd show!

Starting tomorrow my diet will be a bit different.  Adding some protein to my snacks and reducing the amount of fruit I have, adding more veggies.  Going to have two more cheat Saturdays.  As of today I have 14 weeks (3 1/2 months).  Plenty of time.  I don’t need to build any more muscle, it’s just dieting and training hard.  Practice my posing and walking everyday.  Stage presence is key!

So far my biggest challenge is scheduling in time to do everything. I have a busy client load but started making sure I just schedule around my workouts. Need at least 90 mins including my finisher and my warmup. Im not a young buck any more so I take about 20mins to do mobility and dynamic warmup.  Looking forward to starting my new healthy eating plan tomorrow.  I will take some pictures next weekend and see the difference from week 6!
